When Is DDT’s Wrestle Peter Pan 2021? How To Watch, Date & Time, Match Card

Wrestle Peter Pan

Wrestle Peter Pan 2021, DDT’s biggest event of the year, is fast approaching and with it, a slew of wild and wonderful matches can be expected.
The card will be emanating from outside at the Fujitsu Stadium Kawasaki with a double ring set up necessitated by one of the matches on the card.

Taking place on August 21st, the 13th edition of DDT’s Peter Pan events will be headlined by reigning KO-D Openweight Champion Jun Akiyama defending against Konosuke Takeshita. Takeshita earned his second opportunity to wrest the belt away from Akiyama following his victory in the 2021 King of DDT tournament.

Their collision will mark the 24th time the two have squared off in some kind of match, with Akiyama leading the series 12-11 current. Takeshita has the chance to tie the series and become champion in the process. Following two singles losses to Akiyama, Takeshita seems very keen to rectify the situation.

Wrestle Peter Pan 2021 will also anoint Takeshita as the man to main event the show more times than anyone else. This will mark Takeshita’s 5th headlining match. He currently ties for the record with Harashima at four. Other multiple time headliners include Tetsuya Endo at three, and both Kenny Omega and Kota Ibushi at two apiece.

In stark juxtaposition to the main event, the show will be opening with an Electric Current Explosion 8-Man Tag Team Deathmatch!
FMW legend Atsushi Onita is bringing his brand of madness to DDT and will be teaming with Tokyo Princess Cup 8 winner Maki Itoh, Sanshiro Takagi & Akito vs Kuro-chan, Super Sasadango Machine, Tetsuhiro Kuroda and Hikari Noa.

Noa has been wanting to get her hands on Takagi for some time now, as Takagi relayed in an interview with ITRwrestling in October 2020.

Hikari (Noa) is exceptionally charismatic and says things like “I would like to run Takagi over with a van on a Rojo (street) pro-wrestling show too” (I welcome her and take on the challenge, by the way).

It appears, instead of running President Takagi over, Noa will instead blow him up.
