DDT will be celebrating their 24th anniversary from the famed Korakuen Hall in Tokyo, presenting Judgement 2021.
The show will be headlined by a title defence of the KO-D Openweight Championship by Jun Akiyama, taking on his first challenger since claiming the title last month. His test will come in the form of one half of the KO-D Tag Team Champions, Kazusada Higuchi. Akiyama specially requested this match as Higuchi is one of only a very select few that have defeated Akiyama in singles competition since his arrival as a DDT regular last year. The rivalry has grown increasingly heated after a double count out in a tag match featuring the two men at DDT’s recent Day Dream Believer event and with Higuchi revealing that he still sees Akiyama as an outsider in the organisation.
