Nia Jax made some waves making her return to WWE last night on Raw, but how long has she been back with the company?
Fightful Select is reporting that Jax, who attacked both Raquel Rodriguez and World Women’s Champion Rhea Ripley, has been re-signed with WWE for over a month. As a matter of fact, that recent signing of Jax marks the first signing to be made after McMahon returned to WWE following his short-lived retirement as the notorious hiring freeze ended at some point in the summer. Her big return had no ties to the WWE-Endeavor merger the following day and several sources thought that Jax was going to return to television earlier than she did, but then again, she’s not like most girls.
How Long Has Nia Jax Been Gone From WWE?
It’s hard to fathom that Jax has been away from WWE since she was one of the several cuts in November 2021 as the multi-time Women’s Champion had been a major aspect of the division since her main roster call-up.
Even though she was a free agent, Jax didn’t wrestle anywhere else besides WWE. A highlight for her occurred in earlier in 2023 when she made a surprise return at the Royal Rumble. There was plenty speculation that the appearance meant she’d be returning to the company, but Nia remained mum on the matter, even leading some to question if she’d even make a return to wrestling at all.
Jax also did make an appearance at WrestleCon earlier in the year during WrestleMania 39 weekend, but only just for signings and photo-ops.
