What Tony Khan’s Huge Announcement Definitely Won’t Be

Tony Khan

AEW President Tony Khan has commented on the possibility of a UK show but confirms that is not the big announcement scheduled for Dynamite.

The wrestling world has been abuzz with anticipation ever since AEW declared that Tony Khan was to make a “huge announcement” during the go-home Dynamite before Revolution takes place on March 6th.

Speaking on a media call ahead of Dynamite, Tony Khan responded to a question from Eleanor Wrestling about a possible show in the UK and reiterated his desire to bring the wrestling company to the home of Fulham Football Club, also owned by the Khan family:

“I don’t have the exact dates but absolutely it’s something I’m looking to do, nothing I can particularly announce today.”

“In particular Craven Cottage is a venue where I would love to bring AEW, it’s my favourite place in the world and I can only imagine how happy it would make me to bring two things I love so much together with AEW and Craven Cottage. For worlds to collide I think it would be really special.”

“I would also love to travel throughout the UK and I have travelled extensively in England and the UK. I’ve driven pretty much all over the country of England going to away matches and business meetings as the general manager and director of Fulham Football [Club].”

“So, absolutely it’s something I really want to do, I just can’t officially announce anything to you all today on that. I can announce other things today but that’s not what I’m going to get into today exactly.”

With a UK show ruled out as Khan’s big announcement, the only way to find out what the AEW President is announcing is by watching AEW Dynamite, which emanates from the company’s home base of Daily’s Place in Jacksonville, Florida.

As well as Khan’s announcement, Dynamite will also see the two men in the AEW Championship match at Revolution go head to head as Adam Cole and reDRagon take on Alex Reynolds, John Silver, and AEW World Champion, Hangman Adam Page.
