As he stands on the edge of the biggest match of his career, Sami Zayn might just be the most popular performer in the entire WWE.
Zayn is due to challenge Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship at Elimination Chamber in his hometown of Montreal, Canada. However, on the go-home edition of SmackDown, Zayn got the chance to address his adoring public one more time.
The hometown hero entered to a monster reaction as his old “World’s Apart” theme song provided the soundtrack. Once Zayn made it to the ring fans sang and chanted for several minutes not giving him chance to speak.
Sami Zayn’s French Expletive Airs Uncensored
When an emotional Zayn did finally get a chance to talk he kept things short and sweet. The former NXT Champion said that while WrestleMania is the biggest stage of all, Elimination Chamber is a once-in-a-lifetime moment. Zayn followed that up by taking aim at Reigns in French to the delight of the crowd. According to WrestleTalk, Zayn sent a very simple message.
“Roman Reigns, listen to me carefully: tomorrow night, you’re in my f*****g house!”
During the segment, there were loud “f*ck you Roman” chants that had to be quickly muted, although Zayn’s French expletive made it through the censors on the live broadcast.
Zayn closed by promising that the Tribal Chief is going down.
