What Is WWE Missing Right Now? Seth Rollins Has The Answer

Seth Rollins cuts a promo on WWE Raw

Seth Rollins has the answer for WWE’s current lack in one department.

Over the past few years, Seth Rollins has positioned himself as one of the top names in the company. With multiple championship reigns in the business, Rollins is arguably a future Hall of Famer.

Looking to explore a career in the business side of wrestling after finishing his in-ring tenure, Rollins has shared a detailed thought about WWE’s current locker room status. In an interview with The Pivot, The Visionary shared that the Stamford-based promotion is currently experiencing a major lack of good “heels”.

Some of our bigger booms have been with face champions. You look at the last four years, Roman Reigns has been the guy, the Tribal Chief, and he’s been the biggest heel. Right now, we’re riding with Cody Rhodes and we’re sort of in this era of babyfaces. You have guys like myself, Cody, Randy Orton, Sami Zayn, Roman is back as a babyface. You have this era where everything is clicking and people are loving so much of what is going on.

I’m looking around and thinking, ‘We’re missing some good heels around here.’ The business is cyclical and you have to ride the waves given to you and figure out how to make the most money you can off of that. You look at guys like Hulk Hogan, Bret Hart, Shawn Michaels, (Bruno) Sammartino. A lot of the biggest box offices have been built on top babyfaces.”

The pro-wrestling business needs both heels and babyfaces characters to survive, characters that the fans can both love and hate. Rollins himself has experienced success as both a heel and a face but believes that while the roster is currently influxed with baby faces, there is an utmost need for villainous characters.

He is currently playing a babyface character in a heated feud with the ‘heelish’ Bronson Reed, whom he recently defeated at the Crown Jewel PLE.

Seth Rollins Reveals His Future Career Plans After WWE In-Ring Tenure

In the same interview with The Pivot, Seth Rollins shed some light on his future. The Messiah explained a few career options he wants to pursue after WWE. Hoping to “dabble” in movies, Rollins ultimately decided to follow a path similar to Chief Content Officer, Triple H.

I love my business. I love doing it, I love thinking about it. I love coming up with new ideas. The performance aspect of it is fantastic. For me, when I start to phase out in the ring, I will probably do something behind the scenes. I see myself like Triple H.

I might dabble in movies and stuff here and there, but I see myself continuing to help the business grow as I start to age out of the in ring process. I have a ways to go. I’m certainly closer to the end than the beginning, but when I do get to that point, that’s where I see myself. Hopefully, there will be a place there for me, but I do see myself there. That’s my blueprint.”
