What Is The Undertaker’s Career Win Record?

By Alex Podgorski. Published 10th December 2022.
The Undertaker WrestleMania 30 Entrance

The Undertaker is one of the most tenured and revered wrestlers in WWE history. He’s on many fans’ shortlists of greatest of all time and has been praised for decades for his skill, commitment to his character, longevity, and loyalty.

But just how much has he won over the decades?

Collecting data on some wrestlers isn’t always easy, especially with older ones. Although recording data is much easier now with the internet, it was harder to gather data on matches from previous decades since not everyone got house show reports or other wrestler info.

Luckily, one site, cagematch.net, has done extensive work collecting and aggregating data on as many wrestlers as possible, including The Undertaker.

Undertaker wrestled almost 2,500 matches between 1987 and 2020

Cagematch.net recorded data on as many of the Undertaker’s matches as can be verified. This also includes his pre-WWE matches, i.e. ones in which he wrestled under other names and gimmicks. The site has also broken down Undertaker’s stats by year to give a summary of when Undertaker was the most successful.

According to the site, Undertaker/Mark Calaway wrestled 2,451 matches during his career. Of those matches, he has won 1,830 of them, which makes a career record of 74.7%. This doesn’t just include pinfalls or submissions, but also count-out and disqualification wins as well.

The stats are a bit skewed during the 2010s, though, as Undertaker began wrestling much less, sometimes only once per year. as such, it shouldn’t surprise anyone to see that during the 2010s he had either 100% wins or 0% wins.

But when looking at his busiest years, one can see just how impressive his records were. His most impressive year by percentage was 1994 when he won 85 out of his 87 matches for a year record of 97% winning rate.

Conversely, his worst year as The Undertaker (i.e. not including his rookie years and his non-WWE career) was 1991, when he won only 53% of his matches. During that year, Undertaker was a heel and wrestled 205 matches but won only 109 of them.

You can find similar statistics on The Undertaker and other wrestlers by visiting the cagematch website.
