Here’s what happened on the latest edition of WWE RAW, dated August 4, 2025.
The latest episode of WWE RAW was the follow-up from two nights of SummerSlam, where a lot of major developments took place. The biggest of these developments obviously saw the return of Brock Lesnar, while Seth Rollins also fooled the world to win the World Heavyweight Title from CM Punk after the star won it from Gunther.

However, all eyes were on RAW after SummerSlam, where many of the shocking events from The Biggest Party of the Summer were set to unfold. So here’s a look at what happened on WWE RAW and the winners and losers from the show:
Seth Rollins Is Once Again The Face Of WWE RAW
Seth Rollins started the latest episode of WWE RAW, where he and his oracle cut promos establishing the group’s dominance on the roster. The group, which will apparently go by the name The Vision, was then confronted by LA Knight, who had a rightful claim to a title match by virtue of defeating Rollins at Saturday Night’s Main Event.
The match was set for tonight by General Manager Adam Pearce with Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed banned from ringside.
It was a good segment to start the show and one that got the fans hyped for the rest of the night.
Verdict: Winner
Sheamus And Rusev’s Brawl Was One For The Ages
Sheamus and Rusev were once again involved in a huge brawl on RAW. The two stars have been engaged in an intense feud on the show, with another match between them set up for tonight. However, things did not go according to plan as Rusev and Sheamus got into a massive brawl. They fought throughout the arena with Sami Zayn getting caught in the crossfire.

JUST FIGHTS 👊 pic.twitter.com/PhWOmGFLDq— WWE (@WWE) August 5, 2025
It seems that their rivalry is heading toward a stipulation match at Clash in Paris. It has been a somewhat entertaining feud so fa,r and it seems there could be more in store. Bring on another BANGER!
Verdict: Winner
The New Day And Grayson Waller Stuff Is Not Going Anywhere
While New Day’s new bereavement period after the death of the tag team division on WWE RAW is certainly entertaining (special mention to Xavier Woods’ hat), it doesn’t seem like the Grayson Waller thing has much legs to stand on.
After breaking up with Austin Theory off-camera, Waller has now sided with The New Day and has given himself the name, Big G, with an obvious underhanded jibe at Big E. The star faced Sheamus last week, and this week he was in action against Penta. Irrespective of how the matches went, it just doesn’t seem like there’s a lot of effort going into the feud.

However, it should be noted that these are still early days; there could possibly be some twists and turns waiting for fans.
Verdict: Loser
Becky Lynch Roasted Nikki Bella Out Of Existence
In perhaps the biggest ‘holy s*it’ moment on WWE RAW, Becky Lynch had an epic comeback for Nikki Bella during their promo segment. Bella confronted Lynch on the show and wanted to be the new challenger for the Women’s Intercontinental Title. In the back-and-forth promo segment, Bella took some shots at Seth Rollins, calling him a “liar”. Lynch then retorted by saying that she should not be talking about her husband, and once upon a time, even Nikki Bella had someone in WWE, but we “can’t see him now.”

This was an obvious reference to John Cena, who was engaged to Nikki Bella in the past, but the couple separated before their marriage. It was one of the most brutal shots on WWE and garnered a massive “holy s*it” chant from the fans.
Verdict: Winner
A 4Th El Grande Americano Does Not Help Matters On WWE RAW
A fourth El Grande Americano has now joined the ranks on WWE RAW. The fourth rendition of the star, who seems to be Tyler Bate, showed up during Dominik Mysterio’s match against Dragon Lee. While Gable, who was speculated to be the first Americano, is now nursing an injury, Ludwig Kaiser and Pete Dunne have seemingly taken on the duties. It seems that the Americano story will be going on for a while without much explanation.
So is this one Tyler Bate? 🤔#WWERAWpic.twitter.com/u0J7xhpzX5

It probably would have been better if Kaiser were just portraying the character, leading to American Made confronting him in a subsequent match or feud. The addition of two other Americanos seems like overkill and was possibly best avoided. Moreover, WWE has barely given us any information about where this is leading, making it all the more confusing.
Verdict: Loser
Roman Reigns’s WWE Return Is Short-Lived
The main event on WWE RAW saw Seth Rollins defend his World Heavyweight Championship against LA Knight. At one point in the match, CM Punk inexplicably showed up, not to help Knight but to attack Rollins. This clearly angered the Megastar, who then followed Punk and started quarreling. Then, as the show was about to go off the air, Roman Reigns showed up. The OTC put up a fight before being taken out with a stomp from Rollins. Reigns was then devastated with three Tsunamis and was potentially written off TV.
It’s common knowledge that Reigns will be leaving to shoot Street Fighter, and it seems that this was WWE’s way of writing him off TV. This could eventually lead to CM Punk, Roman Reigns, and LA Knight teaming up later in the year in what will be an epic tag team contest. For now, this was a great segment, but with Reigns potentially gone, it is up to the others to take the feud forward, which may not always be a good thing.
Verdict: Winner and Loser
In other news: Michael Cole finally revealed on RAW how Brock Lesnar made it back to WWE and how that conversation went.
