John Cena recently commented on his current run in WWE, admitting that he has some work to do in order to live up to his own expectations for his body of work inside the squared circle.

Speaking at the post-show press conference, Cena candidly reflected on his performance. He praised the current state of sports entertainment, saying:
It’s exceeded my expectations because the energy and the talent in the WWE locker room is incredible. This is truly the golden age of sports entertainment.
However, he also admitted that he has some work to do to continue performing at the level he expects of himself.
Some of y’all watched the match, I was in the thing. I got some work to do and I got to realize that I got some figuring out to function at the level that I’m used to,
Cena, who is 46 years old, also acknowledged that his last match is on the horizon and that he is using his current run in WWE to take stock of himself physically and mentally.
I’ve always promised that I don’t want to ever offend the WWE Universe with the effort I put out there. I’m trying to give it all I got. I have to work out some tweaks and find the mojo somewhere. I’m grateful for my partner for picking up the slack,
Cena’s comments have sparked speculation about his future in WWE, with many fans wondering if he will retire soon or continue to compete at the highest level.
