What A WWE Source Has Revealed On Britt Baker Amid Fresh Twist In AEW Saga

WWE sources reveal more about Britt Baker situation

Sources from the WWE have reportedly addressed the situation with AEW’s Britt Baker.

The former AEW Women’s World Champion has been off AEW TV for some time, sparking speculation about her future with the company. Rumors grew when Jonathan Coachman said her absence could be because she was jumping ship to the competition.

Coach claimed that he got the news from his source within the company. He stated that one of the reasons the former AEW Women’s Champion could be leaving was her being buried as she pushed back and spoke openly about her situation.

New Report Debunks Earlier Rumors About Britt Baker And WWE

Fightful Select’s Patreon, however, dismissed these claims.

A new report clarified that the DMD is still under contract at AEW. She signed a five-year contract in 2021, which means she has over a year left with the company. It could be extended further if the promotion chooses to factor in the time lost due to her injuries.

The report noted that a source within the WWE spoke to them regarding the situation, noting that while Baker is always welcome to their events, there have been no discussions of her joining the WWE.

This report was supported by BodySlam’s Cory Hays on X (FKA Twitter). He posted:

“Yeah, she’s under contract for quite a bit.”

Given the current situation, which has seen multiple talents switch promotions, extended absences of a wrestler from TV often spark such rumors.

Given her popularity, Britt Baker is definitely not a talent AEW would want to let go of. While there are speculations regarding the reason for her absence, it is pretty evident that she isn’t leaving Tony Khan’s promotion anytime soon.
