Gerald Brisco has orated the story of the time his son, Wes Brisco, punched ‘The Immortal’ Hulk Hogan in the groin.
The former red and yellow clad patriot has taken many hits in his time. Chair shots from Randy Savage. Cheap shots from Ted DiBiase. Wild shots from The Ultimate Warrior. Inexperienced shots from the late Zeus and several minor shots from the hotel bars the star frequented during many years on the road.
However, one of the most painful hits the former WWF Champion ever received came not from one of his many iconic opponents, but a young Wes Brisco following a test of the youngster’s wrestling knowledge.
Gerald Brisco, one time right-hand man to Vince McMahon himself, has sat down with VOC Nation to recount the day Hogan and Brutus Beefcake came to his house and left worse for wear:
“One day we heard a bunch of motorcycles coming down our driveway. We looked out the window and there was Hulk Hogan and Brutus Beefcake… (After spending some time out back by the lake) we’re walking back toward the house and (Hulk) looked down at Wes and said, ‘Hey Wes, do you like wrestling?’ Wes said, ‘Oh yeah I like wrestling, I can throw a good punch too.’… So he reared back – Hogan’s [tall] and Wes is [short] – he reared back and he hits Hogan and hits him right smack dab in the [darn] crotch. He knocked the breath out of Terry.”
Now a fully grown man, Wes Brisco is currently engaged to AEW Superstar Red Velvet and has competed for promotions such as New Japan Pro Wrestling and IMPACT Wrestling where he was better known for his association with the group, Aces & Eights.
