New update on Rey Fenix and Penta’s current WWE plans.

Long-awaited to make his WWE debut for several months, Fenix finally arrived on SmackDown during its 4th April episode. Making his presence felt against Nathan Frazer, Fenix announced his arrival in the promotion.

Previously stuck in a controversial agreement with Tony Khan’s AEW, Fenix now finds himself in WWE alongside several other ex-AEW names. Similarly, Fenix’s brother also made his World Wrestling Entertainment debut earlier this year in January. The former TNA Champion currently wrestles on Raw and is in pursuit of Bron Breakker’s Intercontinental Championship.

While past reports had emerged about the two brothers wrestling together as a tag-team, a recent report from Fightful Select shared more insights on if the two were always planned to be on separate brands.

According to Fightful Select, “Always” is a kind of foggy, since they started talking to the promotion last summer. However, in the last couple of months, it became clear that the two brothers were set to be on different brands.
