“We’d Be Unstoppable” – Kurt Angle Discusses Potential Partnership With Beloved WWE Star

Kurt Angle smiles in the ring

Kurt Angle has discussed the possibility of teaming with a fellow former Olympian.

Angle is widely regarded as the most successful transition athlete in WWE, debuting for the company in 1999 after winning an Olympic Gold Medal at the 1996 summer games with a broken freaking neck!

With the in-ring chapter seemingly closing with a loss to Baron Corbin at WrestleMania 35, it appears that the Hall of Famer will not be having another match in the WWE. If Kurt Angle were to return to the ring, a potential dream team has been discussed with the man himself.

Kurt Angle Would Love To Form A WWE Tag Team With Chad Gable

Current WWE Superstar Chad Gable had been compared to Angle on multiple occasions due to the Olympic background and in-ring ability of each man.

Speaking on The Kurt Angle Show, the Olympic Gold Medalist was asked about possibly teaming with The Alpha Academy leader. Angle welcomed the idea, describing how successful the duo would be in the ring:

“I would love to be a heel with Chad Gable. He’s so entertaining. The two of us together would be unstoppable. But, I’m sorry to say — if I ever came back to wrestle, I don’t know if I’d be a heel.”

However, despite the desire to be booed as a team, Angle did admit that it would be difficult to get the desired reaction from the live crowd due to his veteran status:

“It’d be really difficult for me because of the career I have and the age I am. When you get older, people start having sympathy for you and they wanna cheer you on, they want you to win and it’s really hard to turn heel later on in your career.”

Angle concluded by coming a WWE return to that of The Undertaker, who always received a positive reaction from the fans when walking out onto the entrance ramp:

“Like Undertaker, look at him. He has so much respect. He’s been in the company for 30 years and all his accomplishments. You know how hard it would be for Undertaker to be a heel right now? It’s almost impossible and I think I’m comparable to that.”
