A WCW veteran has hinted that he is looking to get back in the ring in the near future.
Buff Bagwell has had a rough few months as, in March 2022, he announced that he was cancelling all scheduled appearances to “get himself together”. He explained in a post on social media that he was moving in with Diamond Dallas Page to take part in the WWE Hall of Famer’s “Change or Die” docuseries, which chronicles multiple people making life-saving changes in their lives.
In August, DDP provided an unfortunate update on the star, sharing the unfortunate news that he had relapsed and entered a rehab programme.
Things got worse for Bagwell in October, as during an interview with Chris Van Vliet he revealed that lasting damage stemming from a car accident in 2020 could still lead to his leg being amputated, although doctors were doing everything they could to prevent that outcome.
Now, however, it appears that things are looking up for Buff ‘The Stuff’.
Buff Bagwell is on the path to recovery
During an appearance on the latest edition of Road Dogg’s ‘Oh… You Didn’t Know?’ podcast, Bagwell gave an update on his prognosis. With amputation seemingly off the table, he was told he would need a metal rod in his leg and then a knee replacement at some point in the future.
However, even the rod is now looking less likely, with Bagwell having learned that if there’s no trace of infection in his knee, he can get the replacement much sooner and begin his path back to the ring.
“I just had great, great news yesterday… If this one test comes back where there’s no infection in my knee, I’m literally a few months away from starting a journey of getting back in the ring.”
