WBD CEO Announces New AEW Feature For Max Users

WBD CEO has announced a brand new feature for AEW fans on Max.

On Wednesday 2nd October, Variety broke the news of a brand new partnership between Warner Bros Discovery (WBD) and All Elite Wrestling. After months of speculations, both companies agreed on a new multi-year deal. As per sources, the new agreement can see Tony Khan’s promotion earn more than $150 million per year.

The deal will keep Dynamite and Collision on TBS and TNT. However, Rampage will no longer air on WBD. It will also begin the simulcasting of Dynamite and Collision on Max in January. WBD CEO U.S. Networks Kathleen Finch also confirmed to The Hollywood Reporter, a brand new feature for the Max audience.

The benefit now to WBD is to introduce this terrific event to a streaming audience, the Max audience, which may not have been exposed to All Elite Wrestling in any great way until now, starting in January, is going to have it every Wednesday and Saturday nights, as well as the library available to stream. So we are really excited about the growth opportunity and the excitement opportunity that the fandom can bring once we’ve got a new platform to expose All Elite Wrestling to.”

Another report from Fightful Select noted that the current plan is to retain Dynamite, Collision, and Rampage’s full library on Max. However, if Rampage moves onto another network, the library will longer remain on Max.

The new deal will witness a significant change to the promotion’s PPV model. Max subscribers can stream PPVs at a discounted price beginning in late 2025. However, no details on the prices were shared in the report.
