John Morrison made his boxing debut at Creator Clash 2 over the weekend, taking on Harley Morenstein of Epic Meal Times fame.

Creator Clash is a charity boxing event that sees content creators pitted against each other. At the inaugural event in May 2022, Morenstein defeated Arin Hanson of Game Grumps by TKO in the second round. Afterwards, he claimed he had only used “20% of his ability” and wanted to fight someone bigger.

At the time, he called out Dr Disrespect, but earlier this year it was announced that the second edition of the event would see him facing Morrison.

As well as his wife, Taya Valkyrie, Morrison was accompanied to the ring by an interesting mix of wrestlers ‘Hacksaw’ Jim Duggan, Josh Barnett, Mojo Rawley, LA Knight, and Karrion Kross.

The fight itself was a one-sided affair that saw the three-time WWE Intercontinental Champion scoring knockdowns in the first two rounds, including knocking him through the ropes to the floor in the first.

In the third round, Morrison finished things with a big right hand for the knockout.

Despite the loss, Morenstein said afterwards that he is “beyond grateful” to have fought Morrison.

Away from the boxing ring, John Morrison’s pro wrestling career has lasted for over two decades. The star debuted in WWE as part of the third season of reality show Tough Enough which he co-won alongside Matt Cappotelli.

He joined the main roster in 2004 and saw tag team success alongside Joey Mercury as MNM, with the pair winning the Tag Team Championships three times. After the team split, he went on to become a three-time Intercontinental Champion and the ECW Champion.

After being released from the company in 2011, Morrison found success in promotions such as Lucha Underground, IMPACT Wrestling, and AAA before briefly returning to WWE in 2019 to reform his alliance with The Miz.

Since being released again in 2021, Morrison has appeared in numerous independent promotions as well as taking part in several matches for AEW.
