WWE has announced that Grammy-nominated rapper and producer Wale will be performing Big E’s theme live at WrestleMania.
The Powerhouse of Positivity has been using Wale’s ‘Feel The Power’ as his entrance theme since December. Speaking to Bleacher Report, who first reported the news, the WWE Intercontinental Champion opened up about how excited he is to have his friend performing the theme at WrestleMania in his home city.
“He’s one of my favorite rappers there is, but also to have my friend and someone who’s a huge wrestling fan, I was geeked just to be able to get him to perform.
“To have him perform for me at home—Tampa’s my home—is incredible. I’m so stoked about it. We’ve been trying to get Wale for years. We tried to get him at a ‘Mania a couple of years ago, but things didn’t work out. I’m so excited about it and I know he is, too, because as a big fan, it’s a dream come true.”
Wale is no stranger to performing on a WWE stage, having performed for the Street Profits entrance on the debut episode of NXT on the USA Network and hosted a rap battle between The New Day and The Usos on Smackdown back in 2017.
As well as Wale, WWE has also confirmed that Bebe Rexha will sing America The Beautiful to kick off the show. Meanwhile, Ash Costello will perform live as she plays Rhea Ripley to the ring, and Logan Paul is also scheduled to attend.
Big E will defend his Intercontinental Championship against Apollo Crews on Night 2 of WrestleMania 37 in a Nigerian Drum Fight. We will have full coverage of the event right here at Inside the Ropes.
