Wade Barrett’s comments about Nikki Bella at Clash in Paris seemingly struck a chord with her.

Nikki Bella challenged for the Women’s Intercontinental Championship against Becky Lynch at Clash in Paris. In the pre-show, Wade Barrett and the panel discussed the match, the contenders, and the stakes involved. Barrett applauded Nikki Bella’s contributions over the years and cited that she was rusty and desperate to prove her spot in the current generation of talents in WWE.

Nikki Bella addressed his comments on The Nikki & Brie Show. She proceeded with claims that Wade Barrett avoided her on RAW, which was very unlike him to do so.

The WWE commentator took to social media, responding that he was open to a conversation with Nikki Bella about the incident. And that there was no intention of avoiding her on RAW.

“I had no idea Nicole felt this way, and I’m happy to have this ‘conversation’ any time she likes. I wish she’d brought it up when we said hello to each other at Raw, rather than via her podcast. I don’t understand the avoiding claim at all, simply not true.” tweeted Barrett.

Becky Lynch vs. Nikki Bella Was Initially Set For RAW After WWE Clash in Paris

A small change at Clash in Paris demonstrated the domino effect on the match card. Naomi was set to defend the Women’s World Championship against Stephanie Vaquer at the Premium Live Event.

After her pregnancy announcement, Vaquer was omitted from the event too. It was the only women’s match at the event, which led to Becky Lynch and Nikki Bella being added to the list.

The Man walked away with her Intercontinental Title. Later in the event, she was a busybody in the World Heavyweight Championship bout, which further led to her confrontation with CM Punk on RAW.
