Virgil Appears In Vince McMahon Mask At The Wrld On GCW (PHOTO)

Former WWE Superstar Virgil was one of many surprises at The Wrld on GCW in the Hammerstein Ballroom as they made their presence felt in a Vince McMahon mask.

The WRLD on GCW was Game Changer Wrestling’s biggest show to date and among the many stand-out bouts was the battle between AEW star Joey Janela and former WWE Superstar Matt Cardona.

This match was for all intents and purposes a riot that saw more interference than a 5G reception at the top of Mount Everest. Cardona’s long-time tag team partner turned IMPACT Wrestling rival Brian Myers helped Cardona to victory as he delivered a spear to Janela.

After the bout, WWE Hall Of Famer Sean Waltman came to Joey Janela’s aid to fend off Cardona and Myers. Hornswoggle, Marko Stunt, and Chelsea Green all made their presence felt during the match but there was one wrestling superstar that also appeared during the brawl.

‘Smart’ Mark Sterling – seen mainly by the side of Jade Cargill in AEW – made an appearance to announce the arrival of Vincent. A man wearing a Vince McMahon mask entered the fray before revealing he was none other than Virgil.

Virgil is best known for his WWF career where he spent much of the time watching the back of The Million Dollar Man Ted DiBiase before the two embarked on a feud over the Million Dollar Championship.

When Virgil moved to WCW, he was renamed Vincent and took up a lackey role once again as part of the bloated New World Order.

Appearing as a subordinate to other stars in both organisations, Virgil’s name has long been assumed to be a joke aimed at one of WWE’s competitor’s main stars Dusty Rhodes, whose real name is Virgil Runnels. The name change to Vincent when the former Virgil entered Rhodes’ home company was then a shot back at WWE Chairman Vince McMahon.
