Vince McMahon might be back with WWE but former Head Writer Vince Russo won’t be joining him.

In a stunning turn of events, Vince McMahon returned to WWE on January 6th, 2023 after ‘retiring’ just six months earlier. His return came at the second attempt after an initial comeback had been blocked by the Board of Directors. Following a change of tact, McMahon then reinstated himself into the Board along with two associates and removed three serving members. In response, two more quit and Stephanie McMahon left the company shortly after.

It was announced on January 10th that Vince McMahon had been elected Executive Chairman.

McMahon’s return came despite him previously stepping down due to allegations of sexual misconduct and claims that he paid hush money to suppress the allegations. Furthermore, it was reported during his absence that he had also been accused of sexual assault.

Despite his previous success with the company in the late 1990s and claims that he had secretly worked on Raw for the USA Network, Vince Russo has stated that he won’t return to work with McMahon.

In a post on social media, Russo said that “morals & ethics are the key.”

“Truth. With everything that’s come out, I couldn’t work for @VinceMcMahon today. That’s me. I think morals & ethics are the key to not only being a leader-but being a man. Who I work for is important to me. That’s why, w/ the wrestling business being what it is-I work for myself.”

Vince McMahon’s Legal Issues Continue

It has been reported that Vince McMahon is currently facing a third lawsuit in relation to his return. The news of the suit comes after he reached a settlement with former referee Rita Chatterton. The settlement was in relation to a 1986 incident where Chatterton alleged that she was raped by McMahon.
