Vince McMahon’s Response To Churchgoing Critic Was Anything But Godly

Stephanie McMahon has recalled one interaction her father Vince McMahon had with a member of the public that was anything but Christian.

Throughout his time as the evil boss on WWE TV, McMahon was often referred to as Satan himself by Jim Ross on commentary and regularly showed utter disregard for Christianity in storylines. In 2006, he and Shane McMahon faced Shawn Michaels and “God” in a match at Backlash that included the McMahons filming a sketch in a church and “God” being represented on TV by a moving spotlight.

Along with frequently negatively referencing the religion on camera, McMahon did the same in public. Recalling one instance on her podcast What’s Your Story, Stephanie noted that her father gave a unique response when being told off for using the Lord’s name in vain:

“One time, we were walking and we were in West Port by this outdoor place near Starbucks. We’re talking about something as this lady is walking by and she is dressed very nicely and had this hat on and everything. He’s saying something like, “Jesus Christ,’ or something like that. All of a sudden, this woman jumps in-between us, puts her finger out, and says to my father, ‘Don’t you take the Lord’s name in vain.’ I’m like, ‘Oh sh*t.’ He goes, ‘Lady, why don’t you take your God and stick him straight up your ass.’ This woman, the look on her face was priceless,”
