Vince McMahon’s Raw Jump Turned Into A Hilarious Meme
With Vince McMahon already under the microscope, he has now inadvertently become a meme following a recent appearance on Monday Night Raw.
On June 17th, Vince McMahon appeared on SmackDown in triumphant mood, welcoming everyone to the show. The appearance stunned many fans both in the arena and online, as only hours earlier it had been announced that McMahon had stepped down as WWE CEO and Chairman of the Board.
In the same statement it was revealed that Stephanie McMahon would be assuming the roles on an interim basis, but Vince would continue as head of creative.
The shocking move came as McMahon is currently under investigation over an alleged “hush payment’ given to a former employee with whom he had an affair. The payment is believed to have been worth $3 million, while older claims also involving John Laurinaitis, are being investigated.
Fast forward to Monday Night Raw, and McMahon repeated the trick by making a surprise appearance on the show. He soaked in the cheers from fans in attendance before hyping the return of John Cena. The 16-time World Champion is set to appear on the June 27th edition of Raw to celebrate the 20th anniversary of his main roster debut.
To emphasise McMahon’s jovial demeanour, as he left the ring, he did a little hop, skip and a jump down the ring steps. Naturally this moment of internet comedy gold, couldn’t be left to pass without comment.
Within hours, memes featuring McMahon swept social media, you can find a selection of Twitter’s fine work below.

John Laurinaitis has since been place on administrative leave, and replaced as Head of Talent Relations by Bruce Prichard. However, some within WWE are said to be “not thrilled” by the move, as it shows that Vince McMahon is still very much in charge behind the scenes.
