Vince McMahon Sends Message To WWE Employees As Company Announces Multibillion-Dollar Merger

Vince McMahon

Vince McMahon expressed his excitement to employees after it was announced that WWE was entering into a new partnership with Endeavor.

The deal will see the creation of a new publicly listed company that will be 51% owned by Endeavor and 49% owned by WWE. A press release stated that the merger is worth a staggering $21 billion, and Ariel Emanuel will serve as CEO with Vince McMahon as Executive Chairman.

Posting on social media, Brandon Thurston of Wrestlenomics shared McMahon’s message to WWE employees. In the short message, McMahon described the new deal as a “historic alliance” between “two formidable institutions.”

“I’m excited to announce that WWE has entered into a partnership with Endeavor to create a one-of-a-kind company that will bring together two global sports and entertainment powerhouses: WWE and UFC.

The historic alliance of these two formidable institutions has the potential to unlock vast growth opportunities for both organizations and generate an optimal outcome for our employees, shareholders, fans, and other stakeholders.

We are huge admirers of the work Endeavor has done to grow the UFC brand, and they will be the perfect partner to help supercharge our growth at WWE.”

Vince McMahon To Be Involved In WWE Creative

Speaking about the deal to CNBC, Vince McMahon admitted that he will be involved with creative following the merger. While he stated that he won’t be involved “in the weeds,” he did confirm that he’ll be part of the process on a “higher level.”

This is a move away from McMahon’s stance since returning to WWE in January when it was insisted both by the company and the man himself that Triple H was in full control of WWE’s creative output.
