Vince McMahon’s Retirement Letter Allegedly Leaked

A Reddit user has leaked what appears to be Vince McMahon’s retirement letter, sent to all WWE Superstars as he moves on from this era of his life.

News of Vince McMahon’s retirement from WWE was accompanied by a tweet and official WWE Corporate press release. Vince expressed how proud he was to have served as Chairman and CEO of WWE for so long, with a memo reportedly also being sent to WWE personnel to notify them of the departure.

This memo has now allegedly been leaked. Reddit user kerrmit125, a verified source who’s correctly reported various news pieces in the past, posted the letter in full:

“To all WWE Superstars: as I approach 77 years old (OMG am I really that old?), I feel it’s time for me to retire. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed sharing my passion, wisdom, and love of the business with you. No longer will you see the smiling, docile, level-headed, calm presence at Gorilla every week.

Your dedication to WWE will ensure that our company will continue to grow and prosper. Our organization is nothing without you. You are WWE’s only natural resource, chosen to perform in front of a global audience.

You are all WWE Global Ambassadors. Carry the WWE flag wherever you go. Wave it high and proud. And bust your ass to be all you can be as a person and as a performer.

One other thing-I won’t be with you, but I’ll be watching. Remember to keep your hands up, grab a hold, and sell. Btw, SmackDown airs live tonight at 8pm Eastern/7pm Central on FOX.

Vince”

Vince McMahon had been in the executive role since the 1980s, taking over from his late father after founding Titan Sports. Vince now reportedly has no direct ties to WWE, having retired not only from his role as Chairman and CEO, but also his position as WWE’s Head of Creative.

As it stands, only Stephanie McMahon and Nick Khan have been confirmed as Vince’s replacements, serving as co-CEOs. Stephanie will also be the full-time Chairwoman moving forward, having previously been stepping in for her father as interim Chairwoman and CEO amidst the internal investigations against Vince.

There’s currently no word on who, exactly, will serve as Head of Creative. Triple H, Vince McMahon’s son-in-law, was also recently announced as being the company’s new Executive Vice President of Talent Relations.
