Vince McMahon’s Response To Being Told He Was Feared Backstage

Vince McMahon entrance

WWE Hall of Famer and D-Generation X member Road Dogg recently revealed Vince McMahon’s response to him saying that he was feared backstage.

Vince McMahon can be quite an intimidating boss and one can’t help but wonder what he is truly like behind the scenes. There have been both good and bad stories about the former Chairman of WWE.

When it comes to Vince McMahon, WWE wrestlers would work with what they were given storyline-wise and many would refuse to question his decision making.

In an episode of “Oh You Didn’t Know” podcast, WWE Hall of Famer Road Dogg spoke about a time when he told Vince McMahon that he was feared backstage, which led Vince McMahon to question why.

[Road Dogg] “I told him, ‘Everybody’s scared to death of you, sir'” [Vince] “Well, that’s on them because I’ve never done anything to scare anybody.”

“I thought about it [and] he hasn’t. He’s never beat anybody up. He never threw his phone at anybody, and he never yelled. I never heard him throw anything or jack anybody up against the wall. So, ‘Is his presence terrifying?’ is the question I had to ask myself and the answer is yes. So, my point [is] he led by fear, but he didn’t mean to … He just had that powerful an aura.”

With Vince stepping down from his Chairman of WWE position, the talent backstage have seemed to be more excited for the future. With Triple H now in charge of creative, there have been many exciting returns of formerly released talent.

It seems as thought with Triple H in charge, the talent won’t feel as pressured to impress.
