“His Look Was Like ‘I Want To See This'” – Vince McMahon’s Reaction To Stephanie Kissing

Kurt Angle and Stephanie McMahon were once part of a romantic storyline on WWE programming, a visual loved by Vince McMahon!

A love triangle surrounded the World Wrestling Federation ahead of SummerSlam 2000 between Kurt Angle, Triple H, and Stephanie McMahon. This, of course, involved Angle sharing a kiss with Stephanie, with Vince McMahon watching from just metres away.

As Angle divulged on his podcast, Vince appeared a little too eager to watch the kiss between Angle and his daughter:

“Oh my god, you know, it was weird, it was very uncomfortable. And, you know, Vince, not only was he directing, he was literally two feet away from us. The camera was right here. Stephanie and I are here, and Vince is right behind the camera looking at us like this. And I’m not saying he felt like he looked like he was aroused. But his look is like, ‘I want to see this’.

So I kiss Stephanie, and I do it like this because I’m nervous as hell. I look like a duck, fish lips. So Stephanie, afterwards, said, ‘You kiss like a fish.’ I said, ‘What the hell do you want me to do? Do you want me to slip you the tongue while your dad’s watching? And plus you’re married to Triple H’.”

Kurt Angle and Triple H ended up both losing to The Rock in the SummerSlam 2000 headliner, with ‘The Great One’ retaining the WWF Championship. Their feud continued post-SummerSlam, with ‘The Game’ defeating Angle at Unforgiven the following month.

This wasn’t the only time the three interacted throughout WWE history. A famed mixed tag team match from WrestleMania 34 saw Kurt Angle and Ronda Rousey successful over Triple H and Stephanie McMahon, with Stephanie submitting to ‘The Rowdy One’.

While Kurt Angle was let go from WWE in April 2020, Triple H and Stephanie McMahon now find themselves in new executive positions with the company following the shock retirement of Vince McMahon in July.
