Vince McMahon “Pushed Through” Plans For WrestleMania 39 Match

Vince McMahon

Despite initial denials that Vince McMahon was anywhere near WWE creative, it has become apparent in recent weeks that this isn’t the case.

It has been noted that Triple H speaks with McMahon over creative, while it was reported that he also “has input” in the storyline between Sami Zayn and Roman Reigns. Although reports that he has returned to creative in an official capacity appear wide of the mark.

However, that doesn’t mean that his influence won’t be felt at WrestleMania 39.

On the latest episode of Raw, it was announced that Brock Lesnar will be meeting Omos at the spectacular. The match has been greeted with derision by the majority of WWE’s fanbase, with some claiming it was proof of McMahon’s influence. Conspiracy theory or not, a new report has claimed that the match is indeed McMahon’s idea.

Wrestle Votes has reported that McMahon pushed the match through. Although the report doesn’t name McMahon specifically, it does contain a Gif of the Executive Chairman after referencing a “specific, powerful person.”

How Much Is Vince McMahon Selling WWE For?

Vince McMahon returned to WWE back in January reportedly to help sell the company and work on new media rights deals. To do this, McMahon forced his way back onto the Board of Directors with two associates.

It has since been reported that McMahon has slapped a huge $9 billion price tag on the sports entertainment giant. However, it has been suggested that McMahon’s presence has proved to be a “hindrance” to the process.
