Vince McMahon was furious with one of Maven’s Raw matches and told the Tough Enough winner to think about his future as a WWE Superstar.

Maven has gained popularity through his new YouTube channel which has revealed some unknown truths about the wrestling industry. While the former Tough Enough winner starts each video by saying he had the best job of his life in the early 2000s, his latest video looks at the more negative side of becoming a wrestler.

In the video titled “5 Ways Being A WWE Wrestler Made My Life Worse,” Maven recalled a time when the WWE grind was proving to be too much for him. The former Hardcore Champion began his story by describing how much he was looking forward to his upcoming vacation:

“There was one occasion where the stress really got to me. So I had a match with Christopher Nowinski, and it was a Monday Night Raw. Now, normally, the following week, I would have live events starting on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. This week, we had no live events. So our next event was gonna be an entire week later for that Monday Night Raw. Having these three extra days off during a week, that makes all the difference in the world.

Maven continued and confessed that his match quality was below average and planned to address it when he returned from the break. However, he was not able to escape that easily as Vince McMahon met him in The Gorilla Position and told the former Superstar to think about if he really wanted to be there:

We had six minutes to go out there, and in my own opinion, I put out a stinker. I was going through the motions. I was probably thinking about an extended vacation, and I was looking forward to a few extra days at home. As soon as I came back through the curtain, who was there to greet me but Vince McMahon. He told me, during my break, I needed to decide if this was the career that I wanted to be in because after putting a match like that out there for the public to see, it wasn’t something that he was going to stand for.

So a vacation that I was looking forward to, something that I was excited to have turned into about a week of the most stressful situation that you can imagine. Now, I can promise you, when I came back, I came back with a changed attitude, and I made sure that even it was a smaller match on Heat or Velocity, or a match early in Raw, I was gonna put forth my best effort,” Maven said.

In his latest YouTube video, Maven has revealed why he turned down multiple offers to return to WWE.

Vince McMahon Nearly Fired Top SmackDown Star

Not a fan of his previous gimmick, Vince McMahon was very close to giving LA Knight his release from the company. With hindsight being what it is, many would find the thought of wanting to fire LA Knight baffling as he is now one of the top stars on SmackDown.

The WWE Chairman also occasionally gets involved with the creative of weekly TV, with it being reported that Vince McMahon made multiple changes to a recent episode of WWE Raw.
