Despite facing two new legal demands from women who claim that he sexually assaulted them, Vince McMahon is reportedly planning to make a stunning WWE comeback.
The report from the Wall Street Journal states that McMahon has told people close to him that he should never have retired.
Vince McMahon Bids For WWE Return
McMahon now claims that he received bad advice from those close to him when he retired back in July. At the time McMahon was surrounded by numerous claims of sexual misconduct, while it is alleged that he paid more than $12 million in secret settlements to supress the allegations. Following McMahon’s exit, Stephanie McMahon was appointed Chairwoman and co-CEO alongside Nick Khan, while Triple H assumed creative control of the company.
“The 77-year-old Mr. McMahon also has told people that he intends to make a comeback at WWE, according to the people familiar with his comments. He has said that he received bad advice from people close to him to step down and that he now believes the allegations and investigations would have blown over had he stayed, these people said.”
However, Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp has reported that “numerous higher ups” within WWE want nothing to do with a prospective return.
“Numerous WWE higher ups that I’ve spoken to in recent months have indicated to us they want nothing to do with that and are happy with the direction. I haven’t heard one person there itching for a Vince return.”

The claims come as Vince McMahon faces two legal claims from women who claim he sexually assaulted them. A letter sent by the lawyer of former WWE referee Rita Chatterton on November 3rd, stated that she is asking for $11.75 million in damages. This is related to an incident where Chatterton claims that McMahon sexually assaulted her in a limousine in 1986.
In a separate letter to McMahon’s attorney, a lawyer for a former spa manager claimed that McMahon assaulted his client at a resort in California back in 2011.
