Vince McMahon’s return to WWE earlier this year and his current role within the company have both been hot topics among wrestling fans.
Back when his return was first announced and then confirmed, it was alleged that he wouldn’t be involved in the company’s day-to-day management or get involved in storylines. In fact, it was said that his only reason for returning was to position WWE in an advantageous position for a potential sale.
However, according to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Live, that doesn’t appear to be the case anymore. It’s being alleged that Vince has returned to his old ways and is getting involved with WWE creative once again.
Vince McMahon “Has Input” In Roman Reigns/Sami Zayn Storyline
With the Elimination Chamber Premium Live Event only a few hours away, speculation continues to run wild over what will happen. The biggest match on the card will see Roman Reigns defend his Undisputed WWE Universal Championship against Sami Zayn in Zayn’s hometown of Montreal.
Whatever happens, the current mindset is that Triple H will have the final say. But according to Meltzer, Vince McMahon is allegedly giving his input for this particular feud.
“The TV ratings for the last couple weeks, and no, you don’t change everything for TV ratings the past couple weeks, but all the signs are there (for Sami Zayn to Main Event WrestleMania), everything’s there, so, you know… It’s Paul Levesque and Vince. Vince does have input into this one. He definitely does. But still in theory it’s Paul’s decision and we’ll see.”
