On January 6th Vince McMahon completed a remarkable return to WWE despite retiring back in July.

Just four days later McMahon was elected Executive Chairman and his rise back to power was essentially complete. McMahon has stated that he’s returned to the company purely to help facilitate a sale, and hasn’t been involved in creative, despite now working back at “the office.”

Talk of a sale has slowed in recent weeks following the initial rush of speculation around potential buyers. However, a former WWE Superstar and coach has claimed that McMahon wouldn’t have come back if a deal to sell the company wasn’t already on the table.

Vince McMahon Has “Pending” Sale On The Table

Speaking during a recent live stream for AdFreeShows, AL Snow, gave his thoughts on the current behind-the-scenes situation in WWE.

“He’s at a point where he was pushed out, and honestly, because of his own irresponsibility and actions, he was pushed out. But he now, I think, clearly has a pending sale that was on the table, otherwise he couldn’t have leveraged his way back in. It’s a substantial benefit, otherwise he wouldn’t have had the stroke, the power, the ability to walk back in the door.

I think he’s gonna sell it because, at the end of the day, it’s his. It’s his thing, and he’s gonna go out on top. He’s not gonna let it go under somebody else and then watch them destroy or ruin what he’s done.”

It has been reported that Vince McMahon is currently facing a third lawsuit in relation to his return. The news of the suit comes after he reached a settlement with former referee Rita Chatterton. The settlement was in relation to a 1986 incident where Chatterton alleged that she was raped by McMahon.

Vince McMahon stepped down from WWE in July 2021 surrounded by allegations of sexual misconduct. It was claimed that McMahon also made a series of “hush money” payments in an effort to suppress the allegations.
