“Very Heavy” NXT Promotion Expected On WWE Raw

Dominik Mysterio defends NXT North American Championship on WWE Raw

An upcoming episode of WWE Raw is expected to see “the heaviest ever” promotion for the upcoming NXT featuring main roster stars including Cody Rhodes and Asuka.

The company appears to be doing all it can to ensure that the October 10th broadcast of NXT will have one of the highest viewerships in history. Partly due to media rights being up for renewal imminently and partly due to the strong competition that night with AEW Dynamite being broadcast simultaneously.

Speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer is not only expecting there to be more main roster talent announced for the upcoming show, but to see multiple advertising spots the night before:

They’re going to try. I mean, both companies are loading up. And the reason is, is for this, I mean, it’s a real competition. And I mean, the thing I expect very heavy promotion of NXT on Raw next Monday, probably the heaviest ever, because this Monday was pretty heavy. But I think next Monday will be well for sure It’ll be heavier, it’ll be probably the heaviest ever and I would expect more big roster names on that show next week. That, you know, will get announced on Monday.

Who Has Been Announced For The October 10th WWE NXT Episode?

Following Carmelo Hayes losing the NXT Championship to Ilja Dragunov at No Mercy, Melo looks to get back into the win column as he faces off against former champion Bron Breakker. Receiving advice from one of the greats, Hayes would reveal later in the program that he would be receiving backup as John Cena would be in his corner.

Paul Heyman would appear via video link later in the night. The Wise Man declared that if Hayes would have someone in his corner then Breakker should also have someone to advise him. Paul Heyman then announced that he would also be present at NXT.
