The recent assault case brought against former NXT star Velveteen Dream has been closed by authorities according to a new report.

Velveteen Dream, real name Patrick Clark was arrested in Orange County, Florida, on the 20th of August on drug paraphernalia charges. Per UniCourt, a case summary for ‘STATE of Florida vs. Patrick William Clark Jr.’ is as follows:

On 08/20/2022 STATE OF FLORIDA – filed an Other – Other Criminal lawsuit against – CLARK, PATRICK WILLIAM JR. This case was filed in Orange County Florida Courts, Orange County Courthouse located in Orange, Florida. The Judge overseeing this case is Faye L Allen. The case status is Pending – Other Pending.

TMZ Sports obtained new police documents which allege that Clark punched a gym employee in the face before biting him before his arrest.

The documents state that a senior gym employee became embroiled in an altercation with Patrick Clark after he was asked to move from an area that had been closed for cleaning. The employee is quoted as saying that Clark became “irate and argumentative” and when the former NXT star was asked to leave the gym entirely, that is when the physical assaults and alleged threats to kill were said to have happened.

Police officers are said to have arrested Patrick Clark after they saw bite marks on the gym employee’s “left chest near the left armpit.”

A report by PWInsider now has stated that the case against Velveteen Dream has been closed and that a scheduled hearing that was due to take place on the 28th of September has been cancelled. Court records are said to indicate that the prosecution felt the case was “not suitable for prosecution” as it was unlikely it would result in a conviction.
