Following his arrival on WWE’s main roster in 2002 Randy Orton earned a reputation for being something of a wild child backstage. For years there have been rumours that his behaviour made him difficult to work with and upset a number of fellow stars.
During this period Orton shared the locker room with Attitude Era star Val Venis. The former Intercontinental Champion joined WWE in 1998, remaining with the company until 2009.
“That Girl Quit Because Of Randy Orton” – Val Venis
Speaking during a recent appearance with Wrestling Shoot Interviews, Venis discussed Orton’s behaviour early in his career and rumours that he played a role in the departure of a WWE Diva.
Rochelle Loewen joined WWE in 2003, however, she was gone from the company in early 2005. It has long been rumoured that Randy Orton played a part in her exit. During the interview, Venis appeared to confirm that this was the case, and denied allegations that The Viper had defecated in her bag.
“I know Randy had some issue with one of the girls from the Diva Search that when we went to Hawaii, Japan – Japan, Alaska, then Alaska back to L.A.and in Alaska that girl quit because of Randy,”
Randy Orton hasn’t appeared on WWE television since the May 20th episode of Friday Night SmackDown. On the show, Orton teamed with Matt Riddle to take on The Usos, as the two teams attempted to become WWE’s Undisputed Tag Team Champions.
After being defeated RK-Bro were beaten down by The Bloodline, and Orton hasn’t wrestled since.
It was then reported in June that Orton was undergoing treatment for a back injury that was becoming increasingly troublesome. The report suggested that those within WWE were concerned that the star may miss the rest of the year should he need to undergo surgery.
It was recently reported that WWE have become increasingly concerned about the severity of the injury.
