“AEW Collision” hopes to deliver in its television premiere this weekend and more matches have been announced for the card.

Before “AEW Dynamite” on Wednesday, fans were only clued in that CM Punk would be returning to the company as he’d be teaming with FTR to face Bullet Club Gold and a longstanding rival in Samoa Joe. However, following “Dynamite” more matches for this weekend have been revealed.

Miro, a name who has been heavily featured in the promotion of “Collision” was confirmed to be in action on the premiere episode. In addition to that, House of Black’s Buddy Matthews will battle Andrade El Idolo in singles action, Wardlow will defend his TNT Championship against Luchasaurus and Skye Blue will pair up with Willow Nightingale to battle Toni Storm and Ruby Soho. If you’re not in the United States, Collision will reportedly be availble to watch next week for fans in the United Kingdom.

Stories Behind The Match-Ups On AEW Collision

“Dynamite” did give some reasoning as to why these fights would be taking place on Saturday night. Wardlow beat an old rival in Jake Hager in singles action before Christian Cage and Luchasaurs popped up on the screen to show a beaten and bloodied Arn Anderson on the stairwell. Toni Storm defeated Skye Blue with help from Ruby Soho and when the numbers game became too much after the defeat, Nightingale ran down to make the save. The only battle to not get a little backstory was Matthews vs. El Idolo. El Idolo has been off AEW programming for months due to injury while Matthews is currently enjoying a Trios Tag Titles reign with Malakai Black and Brody King.
