Despite only wrestling in three matches in WWE, Logan Paul has made quite an impact.
After teaming with The Miz to defeat The Mysterios at WrestleMania 38, the YouTube star bested the former World Champion in singles action at SummerSlam. With another victory under his belt, Paul then claimed that he could beat Roman Reigns after having the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion on his podcast.
This set into motion a storyline where Paul challenged the Tribal Chief at Crown Jewel in Saudi Arabia in November 2022. However, during the bout the star suffered a knee injury that has slowed his progress since.
Logan Paul Set For Royal Rumble Appearance?
It now appears that WWE are hoping he could be back in action soon. It has been reported by Fightful Select that the company hope he could be in action at the Royal Rumble on January 28th. The report states that Fightful are unaware of any solid plans, but WWE are hoping to have him come in and train ahead of another match.
Beyond the Royal Rumble there had been suggestions that Paul could be in line for a huge match with John Cena at WrestleMania 39, although this now appears to not be the case. Shortly after his defeat to Reigns in November, Paul went public with his desire to face Cena at the spectacular, revealing that he had pitched the match directly to Triple H.
However it has now been reported that Cena will be facing Austin Theory come April. Cena recently filmed a segment with Theory when he was at the December 30th episode of SmackDown. Although it’s unclear what the segment is for, something was filmed. Interestingly, Theory was pulled from a live event appearance where he’d been due to face Seth Rollins, so that he could take part in the segment.
