Following speculation that Thunder Rosa has been suspended by AEW, a new report has given an update on the situation regarding the Women’s Champion.
As the card for AEW All Out begins to take shape, one match that won’t be taking place on the show is the Women’s Title match between Thunder Rosa and Toni Storm.
On the August 24th edition of Dynamite a tearful Thunder Rosa revealed that she had to pull out of the match due to injury. It was initially believed that Rosa would be relinquishing the title, but it was quickly announced that a Fatal-Four-Way Match would take place at All Out to crown a new Interim Women’s Champion.
After the show rumours quickly spread that Thunder Rosa had actually been suspended and her absence wasn’t related to an injury at all. However, a new report from PWInsider has seemingly poured cold water on the speculation, noting they have been told there is “zero truth” to those stories, and Rosa is in fact injured.
At time of writing there has been no update on what Thunder Rosa’s injury is, or how long she will be out of action.
The news comes after it was revealed that Eddie Kingston had been suspended after getting into an altercation with Sammy Guevara. As a result of the suspension all mention of a match between the pair at All Out was scrapped on television.
It has been announced that Guevara will team with wife Tay Melo on the August 26th edition of Rampage to take on Ruby Soho and Ortiz.
