Update On WWE’s Creative Plans For Alexa Bliss

Alexa Bliss

A new report has shed some light on the direction WWE is taking with Alexa Bliss and whether there were plans for her to enter the Royal Rumble.

Since returning to WWE on the January 10th edition of Raw, Alexa Bliss has regularly been seen getting therapy to try to cure the dramatic personality change she underwent during her program with ‘The Fiend’ Bray Wyatt in the second half of 2020.

During that time, she took on a darker persona and became a big part of the ongoing feud between Wyatt and Randy Orton. Bliss even began to manifest ‘supernatural powers’ similar to The Fiend himself when she caused a lighting rig to fall on Orton before blasting him with a fireball on an episode of Raw in March 2021.

Bliss split from Wyatt in May 2021, instead debuting her new ‘friend’, a creepy doll named Lily which she would look to for inspiration. Later, in July that year, Bliss entered a feud with Charlotte Flair over the Raw Women’s Championship. The rivalry came to a head when Flair defeated Bliss at Extreme Rules and tore the Lily apart, leaving Bliss crying over the doll’s remains in the ring. This was to be the last time we saw Bliss until January.

Now, Fightful Select has provided more details of the direction WWE plan to take Alexa Bliss in. According to their report, there have been nine ‘therapy session’ segments filmed and produced, although it’s unknown if all of the segments will make it to air.

The report goes on to say that this is a long-term storyline for Bliss and there were no creative plans for her to appear in the Royal Rumble match.
