Roman Reigns hasn’t wrestled since defeating Cody Rhodes on the second night of WrestleMania 39, but he will soon be back inside the ropes.
The Tribal Chief made his return to Friday Night SmackDown on May 12th, but this wasn’t good news for The Usos. Reigns demanded an apology from the duo for losing and then failing to regain their Undisputed Tag Team Titles. While Jimmy didn’t seem to understand just how serious Reigns was, Jey apologised, not that it did much good.
Paul Heyman announced that the tag titles would be returning to The Bloodline, but it would be Reigns and Solo Sikoa taking on Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn at Night of Champions.
In the days after the show, it was confirmed that Reigns will also be appearing at Money In The Bank on July 1st in the UK. This has led to a whole raft of speculation around what’s next for the Tribal Chief.
According to WRKD Wrestling one idea that’s floating around would see Reigns team with Sikoa to take on The Usos at Money In The Bank before defending the Undisputed WWE Universal Title at SummerSlam.
“While plans are still taking shape, one idea discussed for Money In The Bank in London is Roman Reigns/Solo vs. The Usos, freeing up Roman for a title defense at SummerSlam.”
Roman Reigns To Miss WWE Live Event
While Roman Reigns will be at Night of Champions and Money In The Bank, he won’t be in Fayetteville on May 20th. In recent days Reigns was advertised for the event, which would have been his first house show appearance since March 4th.
However, WWE has now released a statement announcing that Reigns will not be at the show. The company put the mixup down to “incorrect promotional material” and is offering refunds for fans who brought tickets.
