Although Bray Wyatt’s logo flashed up briefly on SmackDown, the March 20th episode of Monday Night Raw came and went without a mention of the star.
Interestingly, there was no mention of his planned WrestleMania opponent Bobby Lashley either.
Wyatt has been missing from television in recent weeks with an unspecified illness. This report also dismissed suggestions that he was on the verge of quitting the company due to unhappiness over creative.
Speaking on the latest edition of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer noted that the lack of appearances from Waytt and Lashley on Raw doesn’t bode well for WrestleMania. Meltzer stated that while the match hasn’t officially been scrapped, it’s looking increasingly likely that Wyatt won’t be on the show.
“Man, nobody knows what’s going on there. Not a mention of Bray Wyatt all night. Not a mention of Bobby Lashley all night. Yeah, I mean, it looks to me like he’s, I mean I don’t wanna say it looks like he’s off the show, but it looks like he’s off the show, because they are not mentioning his name at all.
They did a little flash with that Bray Wyatt stuff on Friday’s show [SmackDown], so he’s with the company obviously. There was another video where they showed him briefly, so it’s not like he’s been scrubbed from anything. He was supposed to be at the show Friday night. Whatever it is, it’s a health issue, and the health issue hasn’t cleared up yet. If they were confident that it was, they would at least have Bobby Lashley out there doing promos and stuff.”
When Did Bray Wyatt Last Wrestle?
Bray Wyatt has only wrestled once on WWE television since returning to the company in October. On that occasion, Wyatt defeated LA Knight in the divisive Mountain Dew Pitch Black match at the Royal Rumble.
In fact, the former World Champion has only wrestled 12 times since April 2021.
