With WrestleMania 39 just around the corner, anticipation for the event continues to grow.
The event is set to take place on April 1st and 2nd at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California. The venue was originally slated to host WrestleMania 37 before the COVID-19 pandemic changed plans.
On the most recent episode of Raw, the match between Brock Lesnar and Omos was confirmed with the promise of more announcements to come. The spectacular will be headlined by the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship clash between champion Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes.
As the event moves closer a new report has given an update on how ticket sales are progressing. Writing in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer noted that night two has sold slightly more tickets than night one, seemingly because that will feature the clash between Reigns and Rhodes.
“Currently, there are 54,011 tickets out for the fight night of WrestleMania and 55,099 for the second night. Based on last year’s final numbers, there are probably about 7,000 comps for each night that these numbers would include. The secondary market get-in prices are $74 for the first night and $94 for the second night, which is the show that Roman Reigns vs. Cody Rhodes is expected to headline.”
