Randy Orton hasn’t been seen on WWE television for ten long months, but there are rumblings that could be about to change.
The former World Champion wrestled his most recent match back in May 2022, before taking time off due to a long-standing back injury. At the time little was known about the severity of Orton’s condition but it was reported in November that he had undergone surgery. Furthermore, there were whispers that his back was in such a rough condition that it could have ended his career.
However, in recent weeks Orton has been pictured looking in tremendous shape while he seemingly commissioned the making of new wrestling boots for his return.
This was followed by a report on March 22nd that stated he will be present for WrestleMania 39. While there was no news on whether Orton would be appearing on the show, he seemingly will be if he gets his way.
Randy Orton Pushing For WrestleMania Return
In a report from Wrestle Votes via GiveMeSport, it’s revealed that Orton wants to make his return at WrestleMania itself. The popular Twitter account adds that it “killed him” to miss WrestleMania 32 through injury so is working to avoid a similar scenario.
“Randy’s name I’ve started to hear a little bit over the last couple of weeks. He’s getting close. He’d like to show up at WrestleMania. Missing WrestleMania 32 in Dallas through injury killed him. So I think if he’s going to return, let’s say the night after, he’d rather just show up in some form at the stadium.”
Randy Orton hasn’t wrestled since the May 20th, 2022 edition of Friday Night SmackDown when he and Matt Riddle lost their Raw Tag Team Titles to The Usos.
After the match RK-Bro were attacked by The Bloodline, leaving them broken at ringside.
