Update On The WWE Status Of Keith Lee

Keith Lee

Keith Lee hasn’t appeared on Monday Night RAW since beating Riddle on February 8th.

His absence has been the cause of much consternation among fans as there has been little comment from either side about the Superstar’s disappearance from TV.

Lee had been scheduled to appear at WWE Elimination Chamber but was reportedly pulled from the show for undisclosed health issues. Lee was replaced in the match by John Morrison who was pinned by Riddle as he won the United States Championship from Bobby Lashley.

However, a new report form Mike Johnson of PWInsider describes Lee’s absence as “more of a creative thing than an injury thing.”

Johnson adds:

“Whether he just fell foul of Vince McMahon somehow, or there is something going on that they’re keeping close to the vest, which is always possible.”

The report closes surmising that whoever knows the real story simply isn’t talking.

In his latest update to fans, Lee said that “fight like no other to return.”

In an earlier update, Lee promised to “explain it all” one day before thanking fans for their continued support.

Prior to stepping back from TV, the future was looking bright for Keith Lee. Following an impressive run in NXT, where he would capture both the NXT and North American Championships simultaneously. Lee would later vacate the North American Championship before losing the NXT crown to Karrion Kross. This would prove to be his last match on the black and gold brand.

“Limitless” Keith Lee would make his main roster debut on an August 2020 episode of Raw. He would quickly became a favourite amongst fans, and would even earn a WWE Championship opportunity ultimately losing to then Champion Drew McIntyre.

There is currently no news on when or where Lee may return.

Lee’s partner Mia Yim has also been absent from WWE in recent weeks, ahead of a reported move to SmackDown. After her debut was pushed back, Yim was scheduled to debut on May 14th. However, the star formerly known as Reckoning, again failed to appear.
