April 2nd, 2023 should have been an incredible night in the career of Shane McMahon, and initially, it was.
The Miz and Snoop Dogg took to the ring during a break in the action to announce the attendance figure. After doing the deed, the pair began to argue after Snoop Dogg set Miz up in a match with Pat McAfee the night before.
Following some more back and forth, the Hip Hop megastar introduced someone else to come and take a shot at Miz, Shane McMahon. With McMahon in the ring, he thanked fans for giving him such a huge reception, and the match between himself and Miz was set.
However, disaster struck within seconds as McMahon attempted a leapfrog. He landed awkwardly and was quickly attended to by a medic and the camera stayed focused on Miz. From here the referee relayed new instructions from backstage to the former World Champion and Snoop Dogg. The end result was Snoop knocking down Miz twice and winning the match with his version of the People’s Elow.
Speaking at the post-WrestleMania press conference, Triple H revealed that McMahon had suffered a torn quad.
