Update On Recent Scrapped WWE NXT Call Up

A new update has shed more light on a recent potential NXT call-up to the WWE main roster that has apparently been scrapped for the time being.

There was a significant main roster debut on SmackDown recently with Hit Row being the victim of a vicious assault.

Top Dolla and Ashante “Thee” Adonis were attacked by three masked men in suits as B-Fab tried to come to their aid. As B-Fab tended to her fallen partners she was attacked by Zelina Vega, sporting a new blonde-haired look. With Hit Row left laying, the three men unmasked to announce themselves to the blue brand as NXT stars Legado del Fantasma.

Legado del Fantasma was formed back in June 2020 when Santos Escobar became Interim Cruiserweight Champion with the help of two masked intruders who were revealed to be Joaquin Wilde and Cruz Del Toro. Elektra Lopez joined the group a little over a year later.

Now as part of the WWE main roster, it looks like Elektra Lopez has been left behind with Zelina Vega taking her place in the group.

Speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer sought to clarify the situation regarding Lopez:

“[Lopez] thought she was [getting called up]. Everybody was under the impression she was [going to be called up]. Then they [WWE] changed their mind, and she wasn’t.”

Elektra Lopez last competed in a WWE ring on the NXT Level Up show that aired on the 12th of August where she defeated Sol Ruca.
