Scarlett has been absent from WWE programming in recent weeks, not appearing with Karrion Kross on NXT or on the main roster.
While it has been reported that Scarlett was initially going to be kept away from Kross on RAW for storyline purposes, that doesn’t explain why she has also been missing from NXT.
However, a new report from PWInsider has suggested that the star is not currently cleared, and while there isn’t a specific problem, she needed to take time off.
While Scarlett is yet to step into the ring officially since signing with WWE, she did compete in a recent dark match ahead of an episode of SmackDown. Despite her lack of in-ring appearances in NXT, she does have extensive in-ring experience, having previously wrestled for the likes of ROH, IMPACT and AAA.
Since arriving in NXT in early 2020 alongside her real-life partner Karrion Kross, the pair have stood tall over the black and gold brand. With Scarlett by his side, Kross has become a two-time NXT Champion and was recently called up to the main roster.
Since being called up, the NXT Champion has defeated Keith Lee and Jeff Hardy. Despite appearing on Monday Night RAW, Kross has continued to feature on NXT.
At NXT TakeOver: 36 Kross will put his NXT Championship on the line against Samoa Joe. The pair have been embroiled in a feud ever since Joe returned to the black and gold brand in June. The two men clashed initially with Joe appearing as General Manager William Regal’s enforcer.
After Joe was the special guest referee as Kross defended his title against Johnny Gargano, things finally came to a head. After being attacked by Kross after the match, the Samoan Submission Machine declared his intention to return to the ring and face the champion.
