When Ronda Rousey signed a contract with WWE, it was touted as a ‘multi-year deal’ by the company. However, there has since been much speculation as to whether the former RAW Women’s Champion is still with the company. Rousey was moved to the alumni section of WWE.com and has not been on WWE programming since WrestleMania 35.
At WrestleMania 35, exactly one year after competing in her first match with the company, Ronda Rousey became one of three women in the history of the company to headline the Show of Shows. The former UFC star would walk in as RAW Women’s Champion, but Becky Lynch would leave with both RAW and SmackDown Women’s Championships. Since then, the only appearance from Ronda Rousey in a WWE context has been via the WWE Battleground videogame where the former UFC star appears as a playable character.
PWInsider.com have confirmed that Rousey, for now, is still under contract with WWE. PWInsider state that Rousey’s deal is scheduled to expire on April 10th, 2021, based on a statement WWE gave to TMZ in January 2019.
It’s noted that, unless there’s been an unannounced development, Ronda Rousey’s WWE contract is set to expire in approximately six months.
