Update On Potential WWE Return Of Trish Stratus

Trish Stratus

For the second time in recent weeks, Trish Stratus didn’t appear on Monday Night Raw despite reports linking her with a comeback.

Ahead of Elimination Chamber, there had been reports that Stratus would be coming back to the red brand to set up a match at the Premium Live Event in Montreal. However, that didn’t end up happening. Despite this, it was suggested that the proposed angle involving the WWE legend wasn’t dead and that she would be appearing soon. Although an appearance on the February 20th edition of Raw also failed to materialise.

On the show, Becky Lynch interrupted Bayley’s Ding Dong Hello! talk show with the help of Lita. It was noted that Stratus was originally planned to be involved in this segment. After the show, it came to light that Stratus had been in the building, but didn’t appear due to what was described as a “creative change.”

With Stratus absent, Lynch and Lita made a challenge to Damage CTRL for the Women’s Tag Team Titles. The match will take place on February 27th.

It has now been reported by Fightful Select that Trish Stratus is still on the way back to WWE. This backs up similar reports from WKRD Wrestling. Fightful adds that a program featuring Stratus, Becky Lynch, and other “high-level stars” has been planned.

When Did Trish Stratus Last Appear For WWE?

Trish Stratus last appeared on Raw back in August in her hometown of Toronto, Canada. On that occasion, her promo was interrupted by Bayley and Damage CTRL. In a back-and-forth segment that also featured Bianca Belair, Stratus threatened to come out of retirement to face Bayley.

Stratus last wrestled at SummerSlam in 2019 where she lost to Charlotte Flair.
