Update On Major AEW Star Following Injury Scare

AEW Double or Nothing 2023

A new report has provided an update on MJF following an injury scare at Double or Nothing.

At the show, Friedman defended the AEW World Championship against Sammy Guevara, ‘Jungle Boy’ Jack Perry, and Darby Allin in a Four-way Match.

The bout saw the challengers give it their all as they threw caution to the wind to try to reach the pinnacle of the company for the first time.

However, it wasn’t to be for any of the trio as the end of the match came in stunning style to the disgust of the crowd. With Allin preparing to hit the Coffin Drop, the champion placed his World Title belt across Jungle Boy’s chest, causing damage to both men as Allin fell from the top rope.

In a call back to their earlier rivalry, Friedman then proceeded to pin Allin following a Head Lock.

MJF said his forearm was “f**ked” after AEW Double or Nothing match

Although the Salt of the Earth emerged victorious, he wasn’t unscathed. One spot during the match saw him perform a top rope Powerbomb on Allin. Following the move, the star clutched his arm in pain.

When the champion appeared during the post-show press conference, his arm was heavily taped and he claimed it was “f**ked” leading to concern among fans.

A new report from PWInsider Elite has provided an update on the star’s status, stating that while he is “banged up”, it is believed that he is ok and hasn’t broken anything.

The report went on to note that he is not expected to miss any time.
