Toni Storm is set to make her main roster debut on the July 23rd edition of SmackDown with the show being presented in partnership with the Rolling Loud Miami music festival.
The partnership will see a split-site broadcast where a number of matches will air from the rap festival with the remainder coming from Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse in Cleveland.
On the most recent episode of the blue brand a vignette was shown revealing that Toni Storm will be making her main roster debut on the show. While details on her appearance have been scarce, a new report from
Mike Johnson of PWInsider has attempted to shine some light on the debut.
According to the report Storm will arrive on SmackDown as a babyface, despite last featuring on NXT as a heel.
Also announced for the show, Bianca Belair will defend her SmackDown Women’s Title against Carmella.
It has also been revealed that John Cena will also be in attendance after laying down his challenge to Roman Reigns on RAW.
Toni Storm made her WWE debut in the first Mae Young Classic tournament in 2017, reaching the semi-finals before falling to eventual winner Kairi Sane. The New Zealand-native ended up signing with the company a year later and went on to win the second Mae Young Classic, defeating Io Shirai at WWE Evolution for the honour.
Storm’s momentum continued into 2019, capturing the NXT UK Women’s Championship from Rhea Ripley at NXT UK TakeOver: Blackpool and holding the belt until August of that year before debuting in NXT this past October. There, the 25-year-old unsuccessfully challenged for the NXT Women’s Championship on multiple occasions and had most recently been feuding with Zoey Stark.
